Your Italian Escape..
Lucca began as a café-bistro when we opened our doors on November 3rd, but our journey was far from easy. Without much experience, we navigated the highs of a busy summer, only to face difficulties afterward, including a temporary loss of our alcohol license.
Determined to succeed, we made the bold decision to transition fully into a restaurant, dedicating ourselves to elevating every aspect of the business – from the quality of our food to the warmth of our service.
Our hard work paid off, and in October, we were proud to be recognized by the community, winning the 2024 Business Excellence Award.

We were looking for a casual dinner and found Lucca. A very straightforward menu. We took the bruschetta as starter which was very good . Main was pollo a la gorgonzola also great taste. My wife took the pollo fettuccine, and described as lovely. As a dessert we took the chocolate brownie and the cannelloni: again good taste! But the service waiter Yusuf was excellent! He made our evening a great memory of Waihi beach. Keep on going like this Yusuf!

This has to be one of the best go to dinner spots at Waihi beach. It's been the nicest meal we have had down here in a long time! The food was delicious and enjoyed by all of us. Every plate was cleaned clear. Service was fun so was the music 🎶 Really recommend Bring a bumbo if you need a high chair. (Just fyi) not a complaint.

Visiting from out of town. Best burger i have tried. Fresh ingredients and delicious meat burger. Got to take away to eat at the beach with my hubby. AAAAA++++++ Stopped in before we left town and had a Cheese and mushroom Omelette. Once again a A+ meal.
